Epoxy adhesive and grout comes in many different colors and is ideal if you
want to use one mixture as both cement and
tile grout.
It comes in a powder form that is to mixed with two liquids and is
essentially a two-part resin based grout which creates a waterproof barrier, and
hence is ideal for outside.
The epoxy adhesive/grout is quite expensive compared to other adhesive-grout
mixes, however it is very strong and is fantastic for adhering not only the
bottom of the tesserae to the chosen bases, but also all four sides of the
tesserae to the lip of the mosaic or to other tiles.
When using this medium you need to be quick and confident as it dries quite
quickly and once it has hardened it is very difficult to break away or realign.
