  The purpose of sealant is to seal the tile and
grout preventing exterior
environmental and social (smoke, rain, heat) damage, all of which alter the appearance
and durability of the mosaic.
Application of sealant is advised for all mosaics however it is essential for
mosaics that are positioned outdoors.
Sealant will not alter the look of your mosaic; some will have a slight sheen
however the colors of the tiles and
grout will look the same.
